Oregon Everyday Heroes Campaign
Keeping elders safe in Oregon, able to live in dignity and free from abuse
Do you know an Oregon Everyday Hero?
The Oregon Everyday Heroes Campaign is looking for everyday heroes from your community. Do you know someone who noticed unusual things that are consistent with possible elder abuse and did something about it – either investigation on their own or by reporting it to professionals. Was harm averted or discovered as a result of their action?
The Oregon Everyday Heroes Campaign honors individuals whose acts of courage and kindness make them everyday heroes in keeping elders safe in our communities and helping to end elder abuse. 2007-08 nominees will be honored at a ceremony on November 19, 2008.
Nomination Guidelines
The nominee must have performed the heroic act between September 2007 and September 2008. Please submit your nomination by October 30, 2008.
If the heroic act is job-related, the nominee must have gone above and beyond the normal scope of the job to keep elders safe or prevent abuse.
The nominee must be a resident of or employed in the state of Oregon.
