Caregivers Committee
Projects 2007 - 2008
- Goal 1: Increase resources for family caregivers through partnership with others.
- Goal 2: Partner with AARP and other organizations around issues facing grandparents caring for their grandchildren.
- Goal 3: Work to permanently fund Lifespan Respite programs.
- Goal 4: Facilitate distribution and implementation of “Caregivers Count Too” Toolkit.
Elder Abuse Committee
Projects 2007 - 2008
- Goal 1: Continue Financial Abuse work.
- Goal 2: Continue and expand Everyday Heroes effort.
- Goal 3: Advocate for public guardianship efforts throughout the state.

- Goal 1: Be aware, responsive, proactive and effective in advocacy for the Commission’s priorities.
Mental Health Committee
Projects 2007 - 2008
- Goal 1: Sponsor/facilitate Suicide Awareness and Intervention Programs.
- Goal 2: Increase community awareness.
- Goal 3: Monitor DHS mental health reorganization including State Hospital.
- Goal 4: Set funding aside to fund specific elements of SB 781.
- Goal 5: Increase education about where to find existing resources.
