- DESCHUTES COUNTY - PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE III (Clinic Coordinator)- Deschutes County Health Department, Bend, OR
Position coordinates the activities and provides general oversight in the delivery of the Immunization, Family Planning, and STD Programs. Duties include but are not limited to, coordinating the daily flow of clinic patients, assisting with and developing programs, monitoring services provided, assuring that quality standards (County, State, and federal) are met; evaluating/revisiting programs, training and educating staff, and preparing program reports. Position requires collaboration with community agencies and media. Performs other duties as required.

Possession of/or ability to obtain an Oregon Registered Nurse License. Knowledge of public health core functions, public health processes, and health topics. Considerable knowledge and ability to organize educational materials. Computer experience with word processing, access database, and spread sheet application is important.
SALARY: $4,242.29 - $5,802.18 per month for a 172.67 hour work month (salary normally starts at the first step). Excellent County benefit package when eligible. This is a union represented position. Position is available immediately.

Position responsible for planning and coordinating outlying vaccination clinics, disease outbreak treatment clinics, and other operational duties within the disaster preparedness program. Performs other duties as required.

- LINN COUNTY - SUPERVISING PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE - Linn County Department of Health Services, Albany, OR
Employees in this classification perform a variety of public health nursing duties, participating actively in and representing public health nursing in planning groups at the state and local level; provides highly skilled professional nursing in the designated area of specialty; i.e., reproductive health services. This position is responsible for timely and accurate program reporting/accountability to state programs and other funding organizations. Assures that program staff and program-related partners plan and work collaboratively toward defined goals, objectives and grant specifications. Employees in this classification supervise employees in the Nurse practitioner, Public Health Nurse, Medical Assistant classifications, and others, such as interns and volunteers may be assigned.They oversee the day to day operation of clinical and field services in Reproductive Health Services. This involves program planning, the ability to write the plans and supervision for the family planning, Breast and Cervical Cancer, and sexually transmitted infections programs.
REQUIREMENTS: Five years of current public health nursing experience and graduation from an approved school of nursing as defined under public health nurse; two years of public health nursing supervisory experience; or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the work described. Must be highly organized with advanced skills in balancing competing priorities and have well developed written, verbal and analytic skills.Possession of a license to practice as a registered professional nurse in the State of Oregon at the time of appointment; Masters degree in Nursing, Public Health, or in a health related field is preferred; possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license.

LINCOLN COUNTY - FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER - Lincoln County Human Services Department, Newport, OR
Provides primary medical care services including assessment, diagnosis and treatment to patients of the Health Center. MULTNOMAH COUNTY - COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSE - Multnomah County Health Department, Portland, OR
Community Health Nurses function as members of health teams promoting good health practices, coordinating existing health resources and providing high-quality services in a clinic setting, in a correctional facility (either adult or juvenile), or in the field. Major direct services programs include communicable disease control, child health services, maternity services, family planning, and adult health services. Community Health Nurses work with diverse clients from a variety of backgrounds in person and/or by telephone. Bilingual and bicultural candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. The ability to speak, read and understand languages other than English, such as Spanish, Vietnamese and Russian is desired for some assignments.
Qualified candidates may meet the minimum qualifications in one of the following ways:

3. Associate's degree in nursing and two years of community/public health experience demonstrating the ability to work with diverse populations.
