The Oregon Community Health Assessment Network (CHAN) proudly presents its 2008 inaugural workshop and networking opportunity for County Health Administrators, public health managers, and those doing public health assessment work at the local level. The conference will be held in Eugene on November 19th.
Access to Care
Access to timely health services is not a guarantee for every Oregonian.
Lack of health insurance, health care provider shortages, cultural and linguistic barriers as well as a myriad of other impediments prevent people from getting the care they need when they need it. Lack of access leads to negative health outcomes and increases the cost of health care for every Oregonian. Consequently, HSP undertakes a variety of efforts to improve access to health care:
