Genetic services are health care services delivered by professionals with expertise in genetics. Genetic service providers include genetic counselors, medical geneticists (genetic doctors), genetic nurse specialists, and genetic laboratory professionals.  Genetic service providers can help individuals and families to understand their options and to make informed health and reproductive decisions.
