The Coordinating Committee is responsible for planning, adopting and implementing the Oregon Partnership for Cancer Control state plan. This is based on Oregon's first statewide Cancer Plan (pdf).

Role

  • Define the structure of the Partnership and its workgroups
  • Ensure diverse representation in the OPCC and its workgroups
  • Manage the development of the state plan
  • Define/monitor the planning, implementation, evaluation and outcomes of the plan
Participants
  • Permanent member organizations
  • Members at large, appointed for two-year terms by Coordinating Committee
  • Planning Workgroup Co-chairs, appointed for one-year terms
Expectations

  • Function in a leadership role on behalf of the Partnership, with the ability to provide oversight of broad issues of cancer control
  • Promote goals, mission and vision of the Partnership, and help assure representation
