Planning Focus
The Coordinating Committee is responsible for planning, adopting and implementing the Oregon Partnership for Cancer Control state plan. This is based on Oregon's first statewide Cancer Plan (pdf).
Role
- Define the structure of the Partnership and its workgroups
- Ensure diverse representation in the OPCC and its workgroups
- Manage the development of the state plan
- Define/monitor the planning, implementation, evaluation and outcomes of the plan
Participants
- Permanent member organizations
- Members at large, appointed for two-year terms by Coordinating Committee
- Planning Workgroup Co-chairs, appointed for one-year terms
Expectations
- Function in a leadership role on behalf of the Partnership, with the ability to provide oversight of broad issues of cancer control
- Promote goals, mission and vision of the Partnership, and help assure representation
