Eight individuals from throughout Oregon were honored May 21 with Mental Health Awards for Excellence for 2010.

Richard Harris, assistant director for Addictions and Mental Health Division (AMH), hosted the awards on behalf of the Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS) and Oregon Health Authority.

The recipients were nominated by peers, supervisors and coworkers. The awards honor those who make significant contributions toward AMH's mission of enhancing the mental health of Oregonians and supporting recovery and resiliency in the most natural settings through prevention, treatment, support and rehabilitation.
