Governor's balanced budget

On February 1, 2011, Governor John Kitzhaber released his proposed budget to the Oregon Legislature. More detail on the DHS portion of the budget is below.

Agency request budget

The DHS agency request budget (ARB) was developed using a "current service level" basis that does not take the state's revenue constraints into account. The Governor's Balanced Budget uses a different budgeting method, based on available revenues projected for 2011-2013.

DHS will be using the Governor's Balanced Budget as a basis for budget presentations to the Legislature as lawmakers work to create the final legislatively approved 2011-2013 budget. For background information, here is the ARB:
